Case study
Accessible by default: building EPOS
How we combined cinematic design with WCAG-minded accessibility tools for a national health service.
The Ethiopian Prosthetic & Orthotic Services serves people for whom accessibility is not an edge case — it is the audience. That shaped every decision on the new epos.gov.et.
Motion that respects people
The site is cinematic, but every animation honours the reduced-motion preference, and nothing important is only conveyed through movement.
An accessibility toolkit
Visitors can raise contrast, change saturation, enlarge text, switch to a dyslexia-friendly font, use a reading guide or mask, have pages read aloud and jump through the page structure. Their choices are remembered.
Two languages, one experience
English and Amharic content are managed side by side in the admin panel, so neither language is an afterthought.
